EARLIER @ March 12 2019 7.30am | THE FAMILY of a couple who have been missing in Victoria’s alpine region for four days, aren’t giving up hope they will be found.

Trevor Salvado, 60, and Jacinta Bohan, 58, disappeared at Mount Buffalo on Friday, ahead of an annual long weekend getaway with friends.

The Essendon couple were expected back from a bushwalk at Reservoir Track about midday, but didn’t return.

They were last seen at a caravan park in Bright and their Skoda car has since been found.

The search effort doubled in size on Monday, with more than 100 search and rescue personnel working in a 500-metre radius of where the vehicle was found.

That search area is expected to grow today, to include off-shoots of the path the couple are believed to have taken.
