Desperate search underway to locate missing fisherman
A major land and sea search is currently underway after a man failed to return from fishing on the Coffs Coast yesterday.
Police say that just before 5.30am Thursday, emergency services were called to Red Rock Headland following reports a 26-year-old man was missing in the water.
The man’s friend reported him missing after he failed to return from fishing on Wednesday.
Following an initial search of the area, officers located the man’s fishing gear on the rocks.
A major search is now underway involving Police Divers as well as Surf Life Saving NSW.
