The 47-year-old was returning from the gym when his attackers pounced, firing up to twelve gunshots through his vehicle.
Investigators are now piecing together a timeline of events and are seeking public assistance to “fully understand the circumstances leading up to the death”.
Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said they’re keen to obtain any vision captured along Cox Road or Yawalpah Road at Pimpama from Monday October 5 to Monday October 12.
