Discover Southern Cross University during month-long virtual Open Day

In these times of disruption, everyone is doing things differently, including Southern Cross University.

They are going virtual for their Open Day this year, with a month-long event kicking off on August 17.

Discover Southern Cross University will feature an array of digital experiences, allowing potential students to connect with academics and study experts in live sessions and explore physical spaces with 360-degree virtual tours.

Vice President of Engagement, Ben Roche said the 26-day Discover program will cover all study options.

“Our Discover program connects you as a future student with the people who may one day be your lecturers,” he said.

“Our academics are experts in their fields, with deep knowledge of the careers open to graduates. That’s something we know students are really focused on when they choose their course.

“Not only can you connect with your future lecturers at Discover Southern Cross University, but you will also have the chance to interact with your future peers. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and to really get a feel for how a Southern Cross experience can take you even further,” Mr Roche said.

While COVID-19 has been the catalyst, Mr Roche said the University is embracing its top-notch online technology to deliver one of the most exciting Open Day experiences yet.

“As one of Australia’s leaders in online education over the past two decades, Southern Cross knows that an authentic connection with other people online is paramount,” he said.

“No matter where you live are in Australia, we encourage you to take the time to rethink, redefine and reset your future with Southern Cross.”
