TWO men have been arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a horror crash which claimed the life of another man.
It happened on the Pacific Motorway in Tweed Heads around 11.30pm on Tuesday, with motorists being warned to expect lengthy delays if travelling through the area this morning.
Police say a Kia hatchback and a Mazda 3 both collided while travelling south near Kennedy Drive.

The male driver of the Kia died at the scene, while two men travelling in the Mazda 3 allegedly fled before emergency crews arrived.
Officers managed to track the pair down near the crash site shortly after and they were taken to Tweed Heads and Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
The Crash Investigation Unit remains on scene this morning with lengthy delays expected.
The M1 has been closed southbound in the area, with motorists being urged to travel from Cordyline Drive to Kennedy Drive, then rejoin the Pacific Motorway.
Investigations are continuing.
