Doctor charged with sexually assaulting female patients

A doctor has been charged with sexually and indecently assaulting three female patients in NSW this year.

Police said that in March, a 21-year-old woman reported to police that she was sexually assaulted during a specialist appointment in Lismore.

Following investigations, it was revealed two other women were also allegedly indecently assaulted by the same doctor.

About 7.30am yesterday, detectives executed a search warrant at a medical clinic in Lismore, seizing a number of items.

A 61-year-old man was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault.

He is due to face Lismore Local Court on Monday 28 November.
