Trump holds shock news conference hours before Presidential debate

Donald Trump has held a shock news conference in a bid to hit back at rival presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Mr Trump held the conference with a group of women supporters, one of whom accused former president Bill Clinton of rape.

“These four very courageous women have asked to be here, and it was our honor to help them,” Trump said.

Juanita Broaddrick, one of the women accusing Bill Clinton of assault, claimed she was silenced by Hillary.

“Actions speak louder than words,” Broaddrick said. “Mr. Trump may have said some bad words, but Bill Clinton raped me and Hillary Clinton threatened me. I don’t think there’s anything worse.”

The conference comes just hours before Trump is due to face off with Hillary Clinton for the second presidential debate.

Trump has been under fire in recent days for sexist comments he made in 2005.

The controversial comments were revealed in a video recording which emerged on Friday.

Clinton has labelled the accusations as an “act of desperation,” and says she is willing to handle anything he throws her way.
