Los Angeles police are investigating after Donald Trump’s star on the the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalised.
Authorities were called to the scene early Wednesday morning, following reports the Republican presidential candidate’s star was destroyed by a hammer.
The man who claims he’s responsible for the damage, identified himself as Jamie Otis, saying he originally planned to remove the star from the Los Angeles monument altogether.

He told Deadline Hollywood he was planning to auction it off in order to raise funds for the 11 women who accused Trump of groping them.
Police say they are aware of the report, but cannot confirm whether Otis is a suspect.
Trump received the star dedication for his work in the reality TV show The Apprentice in 2007.
He’s denied all allegations of groping.
