Donations flowing for family devastated by fire north of Brisbane

The support is flowing for a family left devastated by a house fire north of Brisbane.

The Dean family, from Gympie, lost daughter Alexis after a fire broke out at the family home on Monday.

She was initially taken to the Lady Cilento Hospital with severe burns and in a critical condition.  But the little fighter lost her battle to stay alive on Wednesday.


Her family said her organs had been donated to save the lives of others.

A Crowd Funding page set up to help the family re-build (before Alexis passed away) has continued to attract donations.  So far it’s raised close to $15,000, the target is $20,000.

Relatives of little Alexis Dean have asked for privacy.
