Gold Coasters with baby items they no longer need are being urged to donate them this Saturday at Harbour Town Premium Outlets.
The shopping centre is sponsoring and hosting a Collection Day for Baby Give Back, with the local non-profit organisation urgently seeking donations to keep up with demand.
Baby Give Back CEO Carly Fradgley said June was their biggest month to date, with the charity helping over 560 children receive a safe start to life.

“In June, we saw a 40% increase on the average number of children we have been helping each month in 2021. Our warehouse shelves are bare and we are relying on donations from the community to restock,” says Carly.
“The support from Harbour Town Premium Outlets hosting a collection day for Baby Give Back is a great way for us to reach more local families who can donate their no-longer needed baby items.”
Marketing Manager for Harbour Town, Rebecca Stevenson, said the Centre hopes to see the community come together and support the Collection Day.
“From 9 – 11am, Harbour Town’s Tourism Lounge will be transformed into a collection centre, where locals can donate much needed baby items including single & double prams, reversible car seats, bassinets, body wash and lotion, baby and children’s books, pull up nappies, bibs, face washers and much more,” she said.
There is also plenty of opportunity for people without children to get involved, with a whole list of items most needed that can be purchased new (see the list below).BGB_list_of_items
“We’re honoured to partner with Baby Give Back. Their mission of providing every baby with an equal start to life is one we wholeheartedly support, and we’d love to see our local community
come together and donate their pre-loved baby items this Saturday,” said Mrs Stevenson.
“To keep the Winter chill at bay, there will also be a Lindt Chocolate Coffee Cart popping up in the Tourism Lounge, with specialty coffee and hot chocolate available for a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to Baby Give Back.”
In addition to hosting the Collection Day, Harbour Town will also donate an additional $2000 in Gift Cards to help Baby Give Back fill their shelves.
Short term parking is available in front of the Harbour Town Tourism Lounge for those dropping off larger items, with donations being loaded into a Baby Give Back truck in the nearby designated loading bay.
Those with smaller donations can utilise free, uncapped parking available in the West car park, directly accessible from both Brisbane Road and Oxley Drive.
