Dozens killed as hostages taken at luxury African hotel
A SEVEN-hour hostage situation has seen 27 people killed in north west Africa.
Commandos stormed a luxury hotel in Mali’s capital, Bamako, taking at least 170 hostage, on Friday.
The jihadist group Al Mourabitoun, allied to al-Qaeda and based in the deserts of northern Mali, has taken to Twitter to claim responsibility for the deadly attack at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
It’s believed the gunmen drove a car with diplomatic plates into the hotel before the attack began.
