Drama as car catches fire at Pacific Fair

SMOKE has been seen billowing from Pacific Pair Shopping Centre after car caught fire outside the mall.

The small silver sedan burst into flames on an entrance ramp off Hooker Boulevard about 2.50pm.

It’s believed a fire broke out in the engine bay, before consuming the front of the vehicle.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze, which sent huge volumes of smoke into the air.

The smoke could be seen from kilometres away, with many onlookers initially fearing the building was on fire.

Thankfully, no one was injured.
