Three men and a teenage girl have been charged after allegedly setting a vehicle, stolen from a home over the border, on fire.
About 8am yesterday, police were called to a golf club on Soorley Street in Tweed Heads, following reports a car had erupted into flames.
Upon arrival, officers were forced to chase four people after they fled the scene.

A 17-year-old girl and 27-year-old man were arrested at the shoreline, however officers had to call for back up from the police chopper and dog squad to detain two other men, aged 28 and 19, on Ukerebagh Island.
Police allege the vehicle had been stolen during a break and enter at Banora Point the night before.
All four were taken to Tweed Heads police station where they were charged with a string of offences including aggravated break & enter, steal motor vehicle, destroy property in company use fire and carried in conveyance.
Two men are due in court today, another man is due in court next month, while the 17-year-old girl will face a children’s court this afternoon.
