There’s been chaos in a Gold Coast suburb this morning after a car crashed off a multi-level building.
A Honda Civic is believed to have been travelling along Gibb Street in Southport around 4.30am on Sunday, when it lost control and clipped a tree.
According to police, the car has then crashed through a fence before falling into a Meron Street carpark seven metres below.

Both the male driver and passenger miraculously managed to escape serious injury.
The driver, a 38-year-old Southport man, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for further testing and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
A 37-year-old Carara man, who was also in the car, was not physically injured.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
