Driver charged with throwing food in road rage dispute on NSW highway
A DRIVER has been charged with pegging a doughnut at a woman’s car in a road rage incident on a highway near Albury, in southern New South Wales.
The dramatic scenes played out on the Hume Highway at Holbrook just after midday on Wednesday.
Police say a 25-year-old man from Queensland became embroiled in a heated road rage dispute with a 37-year-old woman from Wagga Wagga on the highway near Bendemeer Lane around 12.30pm.
As the man allegedly sped down the highway, he is accused of hurling a doughnut at the woman’s car from the window of his silver Honda station wagon.
The 25-year-old has since been issued with two infringement notices for “throw thing onto vehicle on road” and exceeding the speed limit by 10km/h or less.
