An investigation is underway this morning after a driver fled the scene of a car crash in Logan.

The female passenger of the vehicle was hospitalised after the car crashed into a pole on Green Ridge Road in Jimboomba around 6.30am.

When emergency services arrived on scene, the 60-year-old male driver had fled, and the 45-year-old female passenger was stuck in the car.

Paramedics briefly treated woman for chest and lower limb injuries, before rushing her to hospital.

She’s now in serious but stable condition at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Meantime, it took almost 2 hours to locate the male driver, who was found at a private address in Beaudesert.

Police believe the address isn’t his home.
