POLICE are hunting a driver who slammed their car into traffic lights at a major intersection on the Gold Coast and fled the scene, bringing traffic to a standstill.
It happened at the intersection of Ashmore and Bundall Roads just before 6am.
Police are on the scene, directing traffic through the area while others search for the driver.
Thankfully, no one appears to have been injured in the smash.
