Driver hurt after car is flipped onto roof in NSW crash

A man has been injured after his car rebounded off a tree and landed on its roof in a horror crash in Sydney’s Inner West last night.

Police said the 24-year-old man lost control of his car and crashed into a tree on Chalmers Road at Strathfield just after 11.30pm.

The vehicle then flipped and came to a rest on its roof near the intersection with Victoria Street.

Somehow, the driver managed to free himself from the wreck.

Incredibly, he was spared serious injury.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
