Driver injured in crash with cow

A DRIVER has escaped serious injury after colliding with a cow on a road in Central Queensland.

The man was driving along Blackwater Rolleston Road when he struck the animal near the corner of Sunlight road at Humboldt just before 11.30pm on Tuesday.

Queensland Ambulance said the man aged in his 40s sustained only minor injuries in the collision.

He was assessed at the scene before being transported to Blackwater Hospital for treatment.

It’s the second person to be hospitalised after colliding with a cow on a road in Queensland since Friday.

A woman in her 30s was driving on a highway west of Brisbane when she struck a cow last Friday night.

Thankfully, she too escaped serious injury and was taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
