Driver killed after car hits tree, bursts into flames in NSW

A DRIVER has been killed after a horror crash in the NSW Hunter region on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called to Dartbrook Road, Aberdeen, around 6.30pm after receiving reports of an accident.

On arrival, officers found a Ford Falcon well alight, after its had apparently left the road while travelling north and crashed into a tree.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire and a body was located in the driver’s seat.

The driver is yet to be identified.

Inquiries into the crash continue.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
