Driver killed after Holden Commodore flips down embankment in NSW

A 23-year-old man has died after the car he was driving flipped off a road and rolled down an embankment on the NSW Mid North Coast.

The accident happened along The Bucketts Way at Gloucester, approximately 500 metres north of Mograni Creek Road, just before 12.30am on Saturday.

Police said the 23-year-old man had been travelling east when his Holden Commodore station wagon left the road, went down an embankment and rolled several times.

The 23-year-old man died at the scene.

Police said his 24-year-old male passenger managed to crawl out of the wreckage and flag down a passing motorist.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
