Driver killed in Queensland crash

A MAN has been killed after the car he was driving collided with a power pole at Ipswich.

It happened on Lobb Street in Churchill around 10.45am on Friday.

Police said the 73-year-old man may have suffered a medical episode behind the wheel.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene while his passenger, a 46-year-old man, escaped uninjured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the inciden.
