Driver lay dead for hours after crash goes unnoticed in NSW

POLICE have confirmed a man has died following a crash on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

A motorist raised the alarm after driving past the scene of the crash on Glenwarrin Road, north of Elands, around 9am on Wednesday.

Police said a Suzuki Vitara had left the road and crashed head-on into a tree.

The body of a 29-year-old man, believed to the vehicle’s driver, was found near the scene.

Police investigations have revealed the accident most likely occurred sometime after 11pm on Tuesday night.
