Driver medevacked after horror hinterland crash
The rescue chopper had to be called in, after a serious crash in the Gold Coast hinterland overnight.
Emergency services were called to Tamborine Mountain Road just after 8.00pm, following reports of a single car crash.
On arrival, it appeared a car had crashed into a tree on the side of the road, with the driver suffering serious injuries.
They briefly assessed the person for leg and abdominal injuries, before the rescue helicopter arrived.
They were then flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
