A man has miraculously survived a horrifying crash on a suburban street on Sydney’s lower Upper North Shore early this morning.
Police said the man, aged in his 20s, lost control of a silver Audi along Penshurst Street in North Willoughby at around 2.30am.
The front of the Audi was ripped apart after it smashed into a tree and collided with a parked car.

The young man was trapped in the mangled mess and had to be cut free by Fire & Rescue crews.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with a leg injury.
He was also expected to undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
Police sealed off part of Penshurst Street and established a crime scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
