A MAN who run over and killed a nine-year-old boy in Logan on Christmas Day after losing control of his car while allegedly drunk and high on drugs has been arrested and charged.
Adrian Murray, 24, lost control of his car near the intersection of Jardine Street and Rholanda Crescent in Springwood just before 7:30pm.
The vehicle then struck nine-year-old Josiah Sisson who was looking at Christmas lights with his family as it careered out of control through a hedge, struck a large water tank and slammed into a house.

Josiah suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital where sadly, he died on December 27.
Murray was today arrested and charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence.
He has been granted bail to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 15.
