More drug arrests in mega operation in NSW

Police have charged a further eight people across the New South Wales South Coast as part of Strike Force Idlewild.

Officers from the Shoalhaven and Far South Coast Local Area Commands teamed up to form Strike Force Idlewild in December last year to proactively investigate alleged drug supply across the two commands.

On Thursday we reported that two of seven arrested in initial raids were picked up on the Gold Coast.

Officers executed search warrants after discovering that methyl-amphetamine, amphetamine, cannabis, cocaine and MDMA or ecstasy was being supplied to buyers.

Between 9am and 3pm on Wednesday, Strike Force Idlewild investigators arrested four men and four women who were all charged with drug supply matters.

A 28-year-old woman from Batemans Bay was charged with supply prohibited drug (x 3) and take part supply prohibited drug.

A 36-year-old woman from Denhams Beach was charged with supply prohibited drug and take part supply prohibited drug.

A 29-year-old man from Kiola was charged with supply prohibited drug (x 2).

A 40-year-old woman from Catalina was charged with supply prohibited drug.

A 39-year-old man from Moruya was charged with supply prohibited drug (x 2) and take part supply prohibited drug.

They were all granted conditional bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on 20 June.

A 29-year-old man from Ulladulla was charged with supply prohibited drug and granted conditional bail to appear at Nowra Local Court on 20 June 2016.

A 19-year-old man from Ulladulla was charged with supply prohibited drug and take part supply prohibited drug while a 30-year-old woman from Nowra was charged with supply prohibited drug.

They were both granted conditional bail to appear at Milton Local Court on 28 July.

Strike Force Idlewild continues with their investigations into the supply of illicit drugs.
