Police arrested a 29-year-old Ashmore man who has been charged with three counts of possession of dangerous drugs.

He appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning, where he was granted $10,000 bail with strict conditions.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of Task Force Maxima said the links between these gangs and illegal drug distribution is clearly evident, as is the link between illegal drugs and property crime

“This is why we are targeting these gangs, their criminal activities are far reaching as is their impact on everyday Queenslanders.

“Importantly, this action sees approximately 1000 hits removed from our streets and away from families. Every day we are arresting criminal gang participants and members of their networks for their involvement in illegal drug activities,” he said.
