Drunk and disqualified driver crashes car into Adelaide home

An alleged drunk driver has been arrested and charged after losing control of his car and ploughing through a house in Adelaide.

The 44-year-old man lost control of his vehicle along Reynell Road in Rostrevor just before 3pm yesterday.

The vehicle left the road and smashed into a house, causing extensive damage.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The driver tried fleeing the scene but was detained by witnesses.

He was arrested by police and charged with drive without due care, drive disqualified, drive unregistered and drink driving.

Police said the man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.184.

He was refused bail to appear in court tomorrow.
