Drunk driver clocked at 190km/h

A MAN has been charged after he was allegedly caught behind the wheel of a Porsche Macan travelling at 191km/h along a highway in Sydney’s northwest.

The 30-year-old was allegedly drunk – twice the legal limit – when pulled over by police on the M2 at Baulkham Hills about 12.15am on Sunday.

Highway Patrol officers intercepted the man’s Porsche after clocking it travelling at 191km/h in a 100 zone.

The driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.104.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offences of mid-range PCA, drive at speed dangerous to the public, and exceed speed more than 45km/h.

The man’s licence was suspended and he is due to front Parramatta Local Court next month.
