A GOLD Coast man who ploughed his car into a tree after hitting a parked car in Logan was drunk, police say.
The 34-year-old man from Ormeau allegedly had more than six times the legal amount of alcohol in his system when he crashed his 4WD into a parked car on Aegean Street at Waterford West around 10am on Saturday.
It’s alleged the man then continued to drive along Hadlow Street before smashing into a tree near Short Street.

The 34-year-old was arrested and allegedly returned a breath alcohol reading of .306% – six times the legal limit.
He has been charged with one count of driving under the influence of liquor and is expected to front Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 18.
