A VIRGIN Australia flight on its way to Bali has landed safely after a passenger allegedly tried to break into the cockpit.
It’s believed a drunk 28-year-old man attempted to enter the cockpit of Virgin Australia flight VA41 around one hour after taking off from Brisbane International Airport on Friday afternoon.
The aggressive passenger – believed to be Australian – was eventually detained and taken to the back of the plane.

Virgin Australia denied initial reports that the passenger jet had been hijacked.
“Reports that Virgin Australia flight VA41 was hijacked en route from Brisbane to Denpasar are completely incorrect,” the Airline said in a statement.
“There was a disruptive passenger on board and the pilot notified authorities in advance of landing, as per standard operating procedures.”
The Boeing 737-800 touched down safely at Denpasar Airport and was taxied to the end of the runway by security officials where the intoxicated passenger was arrested and taken away for questioning.
All 137 passengers and seven crew disembarked from the aircraft without incident.
