Drunk truckie crashes into parked cars, spills asbestos

A Sydney man has been charged after crashnig into a number of parked cars while more than six times the legal limit.

Police were called to the Kingsway in Cronulla after reports a 3-tonne tipper truck had hit several cars but didn’t stop.

The truck hit another car on Croydon Street and another three on Elouera Rd before asbestos started to spill from the truck.


He then hit a fence on Hume Rd before he eventually pulled over on the Kingsway.

The 50-year-old driver was breath-tested where he allegedly tested positive before later blowing 0.308 at Sutherland Police Station.

He was charged with high range PCA, drive manner dangerous and negligent driving.

His license was suspended on the spot and he will front court in January.
