Dust complaints believed to be behind triple murder in Victoria

A MAN has been charged with the murder of his three neighbours following a dispute in rural Victoria on Wednesday.

Ian Jamieson, 63, was remanded in custody after facing an out-of-court sessions hearing in Bendigo last night.

He was charged with the murder of 78-year-old Peter Lockhart, his wife Mary, and son Greg Holmes.

Police revealed Mr Jamieson had admitted to all three deaths during interviews.

Mr Jamieson had called triple-0 on Wednesday night and “said he had killed three people”, the court heard.

Officers also searched his home yesterday, finding several large firearms, including a 12-gauge shotgun.

There’s reports he was angered by the dust blown from Mr Holmes’ property when he worked on a paddock near his home.
