Early morning baby boom at Gold Coast Uni Hospital

So it appears Gold Coasters like to get a little frisky on the Australia Day long weekend…

Five babies were born in just one hour at the Gold Coast University hospital this morning.

According to Gold Coast Health, it’s highly likely the infants were conceived either on or around the Australia Day long weekend.

A Gold Coast Health spokesperson told myGC that the conception date aligns with Aussie Day celebrations, so it turns out Gold Coasters really do know how to celebrate our fine country… Nice one, mate 😉

The four girls and one boy were born between 2.55am and 3.59am today, and were all delivered naturally.

In comparison, an average of 16 babies are born at Gold Coast University Hospital every 24 hours.

Can we get an Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi you cheeky devils, you!
