Sad news for fans of Ed Sheeran today.
Our favourite ginger has revealed he’s taking an 18-month break from music after two years of touring around the world.
Sheeran made the surprise announcement to fans during the last concert of his popular Divide Tour in Ipswich, England on Tuesday night.

“As you may or not know, I’ve been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing,” he said.
“There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months.”
The 28-year-old has performed for nine million people on his Divide tour, which has been given the title of the biggest tour ever.
Following the announcement, Sheeran took to his Instagram-story to shut down rumours he might be retiring.
“I’m not bloody retiring either. I’m taking 18 months off to make another album and hang out with my cats” he wrote.
