IT seems Collingwood president Eddie McGuire is the only thing standing in the way of Rodney Eade signing as the new senior coach of the Gold Coast Suns.
Eade has been highly anticipated to take the top job following the sacking of Guy McKenna on October 1.
The Gold Coast have reportedly been in talks with the former Sydney Swans coach who now works as the Magpies football director.

On Tuesday, McGuire made it clear he was unimpressed with how Gold Coast had gone about recruiting Eade while talking on Triple M.
“They’ve been coming to him, it hasn’t been ‘Rocket’ auditioning or applying for a job,” said McGuire.
“At some stage someone from the Gold Coast, if they don’t want to get an inducement to break a contract blister, may want to make a call to the executive of Collingwood and do it the right way.”
