The NRL season of the Parramatta Eels continues to go from bad to worse.
The club has confirmed captain Kieran Foran is out for the rest of the year after suffering a shoulder injury in Monday night’s win over Newcastle.
Foran, who only last week returned from time at a rehabilitation clinic for mental health issues, will need to have surgery on the damage bicep tendon.

Meantime, centre Brad Takairangi will be out for at least four weeks with a hamstring strain.
The club is also dealing with salary cap dramas, after being found guilty of breaching the limit earlier this year.
