Elderly bike rider suffers serious injuries in Sydney

Police want to hear from anyone who saw an elderly bike rider fall off in Greater Western Sydney.

The 73-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the fall on Flushcombe Road, Blacktown about 7.00pm on Wednesday night.

He was treated by Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital with head trauma, where he remains in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established with specialist investigators in attendance.

Initial investigations have indicated no obvious damage to the bicycle or evidence that another vehicle was involved.
