Elderly boss accused of indecently assaulting teenage worker

A TINY SEA SIDE town in the New South Wales Hunter region has been rocked by the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl by her elderly boss.

The 74-year-old man was arrested by detectives at a shop on Tarean Road in Karuah, north of Newcastle, on Tuesday morning.

He’s been charged with four counts of indecently assault a person under 16 years.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation earlier this week, after receiving reports a teenage girl had been indecently assaulted.

In a statement, Police confirmed they will allege in court that the alleged attacks happened on a number of occasions while the girl was working alone with her employer at a take-away store.

The man was formally refused bail to appear in court in November.
