A man has been charged over the alleged historical sex abuse of two boys in his care, following a lengthy investigation in Sydney.
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad began investigating in July 2016, after reports a 15 year old boy had been sexually abused by a male carer earlier that year.
As part of their inquiries, detectives also spoke with a boy who had reported he was sexually abused by a mentor while in care between 2006 and 2008, when he was aged 11.

The investigation finally resulted in the arrest of an 83-year-old man at his Cranebrook home on Friday.
Police will allege the elderly man sexually abused two boys that were in his care in Sydney back in 2006-2008.
The accused man was charged with procuring a child under 14 years for pornographic purposes, aggravated indecent assault-victim under the age of 16 years, and sexual intercourse with person under care (aged 16-17).
He was refused bail and will reappear at Penrith Local Court on March 1.
