AN elderly man has been found dead in a village northwest of Sydney, 50km away from a house where a woman believed to be his wife was shot and killed 11 hours earlier.
Police were called to the house in Olinda, southeast of Mudgee, just after 10pm on Friday where they found the body of a 76-year-old woman. Police say she’d been shot.
The house was declared a crime scene and examined by forensic police and homicide detectives who police say are investigating whether the woman’s death is domestic-related.
