Elderly man injured in terrifying armed robbery at Kingston

INVESTIGATIONS are underway after a 77-year-old man was injured in a terrifying armed robbery at a home in Kingston overnight.

Police said that around 7.15pm, two women – who are known to the elderly man, attended a Juers Street house.

One female entered the house and began speaking with the man while the second female waited outside.


A short time later, a man armed with a gun entered the home while holding the woman who had been waiting outside.

The man demanded money and hit the 77-year-old man on the side of his forehead before the trio left the scene with stolen property.

The 77-year-old man suffered minor injuries but police say he did not require medical treatment.

Investigations are continuing.
