Elderly man killed while crossing Sydney street
An elderly man has died after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west this morning.
Police say that around 6.30am, a 90-year-old man was crossing a street in Rosehill when he was struck by a van.
The man was rushed to Westmead Hospital however died a short time later.
The driver of the van, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Westmead Hospital for a mandatory blood and urine sample.
Investigations into the crash are underway.
The man’s death comes just days after a 63-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while crossing a street in Pendle Hill.
