Elderly woman, 90, indecently assaulted at aged care home

A 90-year-old woman has been indecently assaulted at an aged-care home in NSW.

The alleged assault is understood to have happened just before 8.30am on Friday, May 11.

Detectives said a man entered the aged-care facility on Dudley Road at Charlestown and indecently assaulted a female resident.


Police were alerted, however the man had already fled the scene.

Following investigations, officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist them.


The man in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 60s, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, with a slim to medium build and grey hair.

He was wearing a grey jumper with blue across the chest, dark-coloured shorts along with dark socks and joggers.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
