AN elderly woman has been dragged along the ground by two teenage boys who approached the woman in the carpark of a shopping centre in the Illawarra region yesterday.
About 11.20am, the 75-year-old woman finished buying her groceries at a shopping centre in King Street, Warrawong.
As she approached the rear doors and rooftop car park, two teenage males followed, tapped her on the shoulder and allegedly grabbed her handbag.

The woman refused to let go, and the pair allegedly dragged her along the concrete as they pulled the bag from her hands.
The youths then ran from the scene.
Emergency services were called, and the woman was treated for various, non-life-threatening injuries
Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command launched an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries throughout the day, they arrested two youths, aged 16 and 13, at a nearby unit complex about 6.20pm.
The teenagers were taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where the 16-year-old was charged with robbery in company; possess prohibited drug; assault police officer in execution of duty (x2); and destroy or damage Property.
The 13-year-old has been charged with robbery in company and larceny.
Both have been refused bail to appear in a children’s court today (Wednesday 14 October 2015).
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
