A 14-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly breaking in to an elderly woman’s Tamworth home and indecently assaulting her.
NSW Police have said the 82-year-old was in her home on Petra Avenue around 5.00am on Wednesday when two boys entered the home.
It’s alleged the pair stole some cash from the woman and well as a tablet device before they both indecently assaulted her.

“The women sounded an alarm and the youths fled,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Following inquiries, about 4.45pm yesterday, police attended a home on Robert Street, Tamworth, and arrested a 14-year-old boy.”
The teen was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, aggravated break and enter – commit serious indictable offence, aggravated indecent assault and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.
Police are still trying to track down the other boy involved in the incident.
