Elderly woman missing after ‘going shopping’ found safe and well

UPDATE: Police have located an elderly woman who went missing from the Central Coast yesterday.

The woman, aged 81, was last seen by neighbours at her home on Joyce Avenue, Wyoming, around 9am, when she went shopping.

Police were contacted, and officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command commenced searching for her.

Following inquiries, the woman was located in Mona Vale about 12.30pm today Friday 18 December.

Police thank the public and media for their assistance.

EARLIER: Police are appealing to members of the public to help them find an elderly woman missing from the Central Coast.

Thelma Tregoning, aged 81, was last seen by neighbours at her home on Joyce Avenue, Wyoming, around 9am yesterday Thursday 17 December. At the time, she stated she was going shopping.

Mrs Tregoning left her home in a 2007 red Toyota Camry (NSW registration: AQ 35 KY). She has not been seen since.

Mrs Tregoning is described as being around 160cm tall, 75-80 kg in weight, with grey / blonde hair.
