Elon Musk’s flamethrowers are finally here… and oh boy!

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has sold the first 1000 of his fiery new big boy toys, so naturally, he threw a party to celebrate.

The SpaceX CEO held the epic bash at The Boring Company’s headquarters in Los Angeles over the weekend, where fans gathered to get their hands on the highly anticipated “Not a-Flamethrower” device.

Musk detailed the event on social media, posting photos and updates so that everyone could follow along.

In one of the posts, he explained the reason behind the company renaming the machines “Not a Flamethrower”.

“Almost forgot! Due to recent regulatory/customs rules enacted to inhibit transport of anything called a Flamethrower, we have renamed our product: ‘Not a Flamethrower’,” he tweeted.

It’s understood 20,000 devices have been sold, with the cost of the machines reportedly $US500.

Many of the new ‘Not a Flamethrower’ owners have already taken to social media to show off their beloved fire-spewing machines.

According to Elon Musk, the devices are handy for: lighting your fireplace/BBQ, roasting marshmellows and cooking creme brulee.
