Emergency crews race to reports of “sinking car” at Labrador
EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a crash at Labrador where a car has reportedly driven into the Broadwater.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene on Marine Parade, between Central Street and Imperial Parade, at around 5.10pm.
Initial information reported to triple zero stated a vehicle was sinking after being driven into the Broadwater.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known, however, when fire crews arrived, the vehicle was back on dry land.
An ambulance spokesperson said all occupants were out of the car and accounted for when paramedics arrived on scene.
One person has been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
